The Ergo-Help Torque Reaction Arm is a pneumatic, zero-balance tool holding device which minimizes worker fatigue by relieving the operator of tool weight and torque. The Torque Reaction Arm is manually operated, and utilizes air control to keep tooling positioned at any point along the vertical stroke of the supporting air cylinder. The Torque Reaction Arm could be attached to any overhead supporting system such as our EHMP Manipulator, or onto a monorail, bridge crane, etc. The customer's end-tooling is mounted directly onto the cylinder rod or via any existing tool holder such as our EHTH-1 model.
EHTA-80
vertical travel: 16"
maximum working torque: 80 ft-lbs
maximum tool weight: 90 lb
arm weight: 9 lbs
single linear guideway
EHTA-200
vertical travel: 15.8"
maximum working torque: 200 ft-lbs
maximum tool weight: 95 lb
arm weight: 14 lbs
dual linear guideway
Both models incorporate a low-friction pneumatic cylinder, linear ball bearing guideway assembly, and a steel arm with mounting bracket for end-tool attachment. Precision air metering readily and easily calibrates to any tool/load weight, and enables the highest level of regulation for zero-balance up/down motion, holding the set pressure for extended periods of time.
The optional adjustable locking tool holder, model EHTH-1 provides 220 degrees of free horizontal tool rotation, and locks into position upon push-button release.
